About the Role
Progress Libs is seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Regional Lead to oversee day-to-day operations in their designated region. The Regional Lead will play a key role in Progress Libs' expansion in different states. The Regional Lead is responsible for cultivating a local PL community, discovering and managing projects, building relationships with stakeholders, fundraising, and creating a regional team. This position requires a proactive individual with a passion for community engagement. As of now this position is not paid
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations in the designated region, aligning activities with the overall goals and values of Progress Libs.
- Identify and assess potential projects in the region, collaborating with the Organizing Director and other team members.
- Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders, including local community leaders, activists, and potential donors.
- Spearhead fundraising efforts within the region, working closely with the Finance Director and national fundraising initiatives.
- Build and lead a regional team, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
- Recruit and engage new members, ensuring a diverse and inclusive community that reflects the values of Progress Libs.
- Collaborate with Directors to coordinate strategy and implement national projects at the regional level.
- Create and manage a comprehensive schedule of fundraisers, panels, canvass launches, and general events within the region.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in political organizing, community engagement, or related fields.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Passion for progressive values and a commitment to the mission of Progress Libs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Proven experience in fundraising and building successful teams.
